The Commonwealth Games has been an anticipated event for all members of the Commonwealth since its birth in 1930. Being held every 4 years since, the multi-sport event works towards building peaceful, sustainable, and prosperous communities globally. We totally agree with their vision and are eagerly anticipating our involvement in the 2026 games.
Recently, our beautiful home of Regional Victoria has been deemed the chosen location of the 2026 Commonwealth Games. This win for our unique state will provide unlimited experiences and opportunities for a range of industries in Victoria. Boosting our traffic, luring tourists and all-class athletes are just the beginning!
An initial list of events have been announced, as well as their hosting locations, in some key suburbs across the state. At present, these locations include Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat as well as parts of Gippsland. These towns will soon have their own athlete villages, introducing a new multi-city model bringing global sport to four regional hubs.
Funny enough, we actually have a number of killer billboards in all of these locations. With multiple billboards in all selected Regional Victorian locations for the 2026 games, Gawk are super excited for what this coveted event will do for our beautiful state and keen to cease all opportunities the games may bring!
