We’re Gawk Outdoor – the bold, independent crew shaking up billboard advertising and giving brands the loudest voice across Regional Australia.
Founded in 2018 by brothers Luke and James Course, Gawk was born when they saw the metro outdoor advertising world giving Regional Victoria the cold shoulder. So, they called bullsh*t and got to work.
What started as a local hustle has blown up into a full-blown out-of-home movement across Regional Victoria, South Australia, and New South Wales. Every new site we build is another middle finger to the idea that great advertising only happens in the city – putting regional businesses and big brands front and centre where they belong.
Today, Gawk proudly pumps over $15.2 million each year straight back into regional economies through rent, suppliers, and partnerships. That’s money staying where it belongs, in the hands of the people and communities that make regional Australia thrive.
Recognised on the AFR Fast Starters list in 2022, we’ve invested more than $15 million to build the best FKN billboards in regional Australia designed to turn heads and punch well above their weight class, helping businesses of every size thrive. And trust us, we’ve got no plans on slowing down.
If you are ever looking for a Top 10 Country Bakeries we are your guys!
Luke was previously Head of Australia for Landmark Dividend – an American investment firm. Under Luke’s guidance Landmark invested over $50m in outdoor advertising, telecommunications and renewable energy.
Luke loves playing cricket, horse racing and travelling.

Dan has a wealth of sales knowledge and a deep connection to Regional Victoria, with over ten years of experience in technology sales. His approach is to first understand before being understood, which has allowed him to build strong relationships and connections with people, earning him a reputation as someone others can rely on (if you do say so yourself, Dan ;)).
Dan holds a degree in Business Marketing, and has a keen interest in how businesses can tell their unique stories. Growing up in Warrnambool and living in Geelong for the past ten years, Dan has a deep love for regional Victoria and its people.
Outside of work, Dan loves travelling the world with his partner, boxing, and competing in the ring. He supports the Hawthorn Football Club, which wasn’t great in early 2024 but is becoming a great life choice in late 2024. Dan enjoys listening to the Beatles and sharing good yarns with his mates.
With nearly a decade of experience in television, most recently at Channel 7 across Agency and Partnership Sales, Amie brings a sharp eye for media, and a get-it-done attitude to her role in outdoor advertising. Before TV, she kicked things off in customs, which probably explains her knack for detail and her ability to navigate just about any situation.
Outside of work, she’s often spotted on the golf course, a passionate baker, loves a road trip or camping weekend and is currently training to become a pilates instructor – she somehow finds time.
Very competitive, terrible at trivia (her words), and dreams of owning a Ford Raptor because it’s ridiculous, and partly because it feels entirely on brand.
Ash has been riding the waves of the surf industry for over a decade with the finesse of a pro, seamlessly blending work and play. Her get-sh*t-done attitude and infectious personality make her a perfect fit for our team. Her previous roles saw her jet-setting across continents for work and hitting the slopes during snow trips. Ash’s strong work ethic and never-say-never attitude serve her well as our sales coordinator, where she helps the team manage clients and collate reports and proposals (she does a lot more than that too, but word count ya know!?).
No matter how far she roams, she’s always pulled back to the tranquil shores of Victoria. Nestled in the seaside, Ash finds solace in the dance of the waves, enjoying winter swims and beach strolls with her trusty sidekick, Egg.
With five years of experience in radio, in both admin and sales, Jessie knows how to keep things running smoothly and ensure clients are always looked after. Now, in the world of billboards, she’s one of the go-tos for keeping the sales team organised and making sure every campaign is set up for success.
Originally from Colac and now based in Geelong, Jessie is a sports lover through and through - and when she’s not working, you’ll likely find her on the court playing netball or basketball. Unfortunately, she barracks for Carlton, but since she’s so good at her job, we’ve decided to keep her anyway.
With a background in media, a love for teamwork, and sharp attention to detail, Jessie is all about making things happen and keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes.
Ash holds extensive management experience; including 6 years in the marketing industry as a project manager, and 6 years in the car repair industry as a production manager. Prior to this, Ash travelled the USA working in summer camps as a lifeguard. Ash loves making everyone’s life easier, client and colleagues, through great communication, streamlined processes and a bit of humour.
Ash also loves fishing, sport, travelling, anyone’s dog and going out for brunch.
Lisa has a wealth of client and agency management expertise and 15 years administration experience. Well versed in client campaigns and customer relations, she is an exceptional communicator and super organised.
Lisa enjoys horse riding, craft activities and spending time with her family with 2 young boys keeping her on her toes!
Gemma is the queen of organisation, using to-do lists and sticky notes like they’re going out of fashion. Her superpower is bringing order to chaos, making her a perfect fit for our ops team, where she’ll be helping keep things running smoothly as our business grows. Before joining us, Gemma worked in the insurance building industry and just returned from an exciting gap year as a liftie and lifeguard. Gemma loves nothing more than hitting the open road for a camping trip, with country music playing through the speakers, which is a match made in heaven working for a regional billboard company.
She has a weird but delightful obsession with sour lollies and salt and vinegar chips. As a dedicated dog mum to her golden retriever, Bailey, and border collie, Arlo, she’s always ready for an adventure.
Charlotte’s career path is anything but ordinary, spanning retail (pet shops and fashion), hospitality (nightclubs and golf clubs), and even construction. Across all these industries, one thing has remained consistent - she naturally gravitates toward operations, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently!
Charlotte's mix of hands-on experience, operational know-how, and unstoppable energy makes her a key part of the operations team - and someone we're stoked to have helping keep things in check.
Outside of work, Charlotte is all about movement and the outdoors. She loves snowboarding, galloping through the bush on horseback (but we're not allowed to call her horse girl), and spending time with her two beloved Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Ragnar and Ronan.
Andy is a key part of the sales team, combining creativity, organisation, and a background in marketing to help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. After completing a Business and Marketing degree at the University of Ballarat, he spent over seven years in real estate photography and video—highlights include filming a music video for Melbourne rapper Pez and heading out on a national tour.
A proud Geelong Cats supporter, Andy’s sporting claim to fame includes winning a premiership alongside his brother for the Lake Bolac footy club, and being in the crowd to witness Geelong’s 2022 AFL Grand Final win (he’s still talking about it).
Outside of work, he’s usually at the footy, out on the golf course, or showing off his less business-oriented skills—like voice impressions and Call of Duty.
With a sharp eye for detail, a calm presence, and a great sense of humour, Andy plays a vital support role for the sales team and helps keep the chaos in check.
With a background that spans sales, construction, health & beauty, and out-of-home media, Inese has a dynamic and well-rounded skill set. As Agency Sales Coordinator, she’s the organisational backbone of the agency team - keeping things running smoothly, juggling logistics, managing deadlines, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Before joining Gawk, Inese spent three years in OOH working across operations, sales coordination, accounts receivable, and social media -proving she can handle just about anything (even Tim!).
Outside of work, life is all action. Inese is mum to two - Afiya and Lenny - and family time means karaoke sessions, dance parties, backyard cricket, and beach walks with their two cats (yes, you read that right).
A proud Bulldogs supporter (allegedly the real reason she got hired), she’s also a hot pilates regular most mornings, loves catching live music, and is slowly but surely ticking countries off her travel list.
Joel, our dedicated Billboard Development Manager, is always ready to hit the road and explore regional towns (and their pubs and bakeries). Working closely with our director, Luke, Joel is instrumental in scouting billboard locations and ensuring we continue to grow, creating opportunities for more regional communities.
With a background in electrical work, construction, and sales, Joel is well-equipped to connect with locals and ensure all runs smoothly with our developments.
Joel loves working on the road, embracing the freedom and adventure it brings—he never misses a chance to explore new places. When he’s not on the move, Joel enjoys unwinding with a good parmi and a glass of beer or wine at the local.
On weekends, you can find him playing golf (much better than Nath), riding his motorbike on road and dirt tracks, or hitting the slopes to snowboard every winter.
Meet Anna Le, our resident numbers wizard and all-around powerhouse. As a Chartered Accountant and former Partner of an award-winning accounting firm, Anna brings a wealth of expertise to our team. But her talents don’t stop at crunching numbers; she’s also the co-founder of Beehives Japanese Cheesecake™ and a published author of the book Empowered Women Empowering The World.Anna has a soft spot for regional Victoria, with Geelong holding a special place in her heart. And if you ask her, there’s no better pie on Earth than the Parker pie from Rutherglen – especially when paired with their chutney.
When Anna isn’t busy shaping financial strategies or baking up a storm with her famous Japanese cheesecake, you can find her taking care of her indoor plants and garden of 17 bamboo, walking on the beach, shopping online, or enjoying a live sporting event.
Ruby graduated from Swinburne University with a Master of Practising Accounting and holds nearly 5 years of experience within the Accounting & Finance industry. Ruby is currently studying towards the Certified Practising Accountant and expects to complete it by mid-2024.
Ruby loves going out with her little daughter, An Nguyen. Enjoying her weekends and the sunshine at local parks.
Tara joined Gawk through an internship from Deakin University, where she’s in the final stretch of completing her Bachelor of Design. Impressed by her talent and creativity, we quickly snatched Tara up and offered her part-time employment while she finishes her studies.
Alongside her incredible eye for design, Tara brings animation skills to the team, adding an extra layer of creativity to our business. Whether it’s crafting bold visuals or bringing ideas to life through animation, Tara’s fresh perspective makes her an exciting part of the Gawk team.
When Tara’s not working or studying, she loves catching up with friends, exploring Melbourne’s cafés and restaurants (she swears 70% of her money goes to food), and soaking up the serenity of parks and beaches. Whether she’s sightseeing or listening to music, Tara knows how to balance her hustle with some much-needed downtime.
James has extensive experience in architecture and building design having worked with a full-service architecture firm in Melbourne. He led projects in residential, commercial and government.
He enjoys surfing, playing footy and getting away along the coast or the Murray.
Tim holds a wealth of knowledge within the advertising industry. With over 10 years of experience in Outdoor Media and Agency & Direct Sales, with past roles at QMS and Absolute Media. Being a lover of all things chilli; he’s keen to spice things up here at Gawk!
As a Father of two youngins, most of his free time is spent running around after the kids. When he has time to indulge, he enjoys fishing, surfing and of course, watching the footy with a beer!
With 25 years in media agency sales, Heidi has a powerhouse of experience across radio, streaming, regional TV, and some of the biggest and boldest billboard providers in metro and regional Australia… which is crazy considering she's only 30 years old! (You're welcome, Heidi.)
Born and raised in Newcastle, NSW, Heidi has a genuine love for the regional way of life, and she knows her way around a media schedule like it's nobody's business.
Outside of work, life's full and fun with her two young girls, Addison and Frankie, who are always up for a game of Uno, Taco Cat, or a mid-day ‘Just Dance’ showdown. If there's spare time, you'll find Heidi outdoors with family and friends - beach swims, backyard barbies, a run around the netball court (here if you need!), or soaking up sunshine in a beer garden.
She's all about relationships, energy, and delivering top-notch campaigns- no fluff, just good media and great people.
Crushing the sales game since 2017, Sam brings a wealth of knowledge and a relationship-first approach to his role as VIC Group Sales Manager. He thrives on building strong, lasting partnerships with clients and loves working alongside some of the biggest brands in the country.
A coastal local born and bred in Ocean Grove, Sam brings an easygoing, grounded style to everything he does. On weekends, he’s usually out with his wife, son, and their dog—on a mission to visit a new playground every time.
A proud Geelong Cats supporter, Sam also enjoys spending time in the garage making furniture whenever he can. Whether he’s closing deals or sanding timber, he brings the same attention to detail and commitment to quality across the board (see what we did there).
Sam’s career in media and sales began at a Newcastle ad agency, followed by 10 years at SCA in various radio and TV roles, all while earning his MBA at Newcastle Business School. He then held key positions as NSW Regional Sales Manager at Metricon Homes, Head of Digital Sales for the Newcastle Knights, and gained Out of Home experience at JCDecaux and Nine.
A former pro baseball player in Belgium, Sam now plays for Belmont Baseball Club, where he’s won nine 1st-grade titles. He even spent his 30th birthday at Yankee Stadium, where he had a memorable (and painful!) baseball encounter!
Sam enjoys family time with his wife, Amy, a teacher and photographer, and their two kids: Chloe, who loves surfing and dancing, and Luke, his baseball-loving mini-me who’s also the team’s bat boy.
Originally from Glasgow and now calling the Central Coast home (aka God’s Country), Chris brings deep experience in brand, sport, events, and marketing to the Gawk team—along with a lifelong love for Celtic FC.
Before joining the world of outdoor advertising, Chris worked agency-side with Active Edge Promotions, leading sponsorship and activations for national events like the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon, The Color Run, Wanderlust 108, and Tough Mudder. He also helped deliver campaigns for brands including Bupa, Banana Boat, Subaru, and the Hit Network.
From there, he took the reins as Head of Marketing at the Central Coast Mariners, where he played a key role in one of the club’s most successful eras—breaking ticket and merch sales records and creating the now-iconic “Believe” campaign (tattooed on fans and featured in the A-League doco finale).
After football came a shift into hospitality as Group Marketing Manager for a large Sydney-based group. There, Chris built the marketing function from scratch, led 18 venues and a brewery, developed the “Sonnel Hospitality” brand, launched PubPass, and created the “Her Sport Her Bar” campaign to champion women’s sport in pubs.
Outside of work, Chris is a proud dad to two young legends, Frankie Ally and Harvey Rex, and runs Inner.Glow Café in Ettalong Beach—a café/florist hybrid proving that caffeine and flowers really do fix most things.
Phil has 10 years’ experience in customer service-driven industries such as banking and hospitality, as well as for sporting bodies, community groups and clubs.
He’s pretty handy at footy and cricket also and hopes to one day watch Australia play the West Indies in the Caribbean
Will loves long walks on the beach with his partner (a bag of hot chips), spending time with loved ones and attending every Geelong Cats home game. Will’s passion lies with providing positive customer experience and creating meaningful relationships.
If Will could have his own billboard, it would be a photo of him surfing while also taking a specky on an angry Luke Hodge.
Rod has over 16 years of media sales experience in Regional Vic. Born and raised on a farm in Dingee, country Victoria, Rod’s roots in regional Australia run deep. His enthusiasm for building strong relationships and understanding businesses’ unique stories has been a driving force in his career. His genuine interest in business is evident in his love for Shark Tank, where he draws inspiration and insights.
Rod and his partner, Mel, and daughter Latika live in Heathcote, VIC, along with their dog Tyson and dwarf pony Tinkerbell (it’s true – we’ve seen pics). He also has three step-kids—Hayden, Jake, and Tyler—who have all left home.
His interests range from Formula 1 and horse racing (he’s an ex-harness racer and trainer) to boxing, cricket, golf and his beloved Western Bulldogs. Rod enjoys a good comedy TV show, movie, or stand-up performance, especially anything featuring Jerry Seinfeld and Will Ferrell.
Stephen has been in media sales since 2007, bringing a wealth of experience across regional Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. His career has spanned television, radio, digital, and social media, with key roles at WIN and SCA that have sharpened his skills in local markets, account management, and regional sales leadership. And that's all before breakfast.
Before making the move to media, Stephen spent over a decade leading sales teams in Ford dealerships - you know he’s a good salesman if he can sell a Ford (sorry, Steve!).
A proud Gippslander, Stephen has worked from his home region throughout his career (with a brief two-year stint in Melbourne), bringing a grounded, local lens to everything he does. Outside of work, life is all about family—his wife and three boys (aged 10, 12, and 14)—and their shared love of football (the round-ball kind). Stephen coaches, the boys play, and after 30 years of loyal sideline support, even his wife has been converted.
Melbourne-born, Karen’s career has taken her from the smoky dance floors of London nightclubs to the red sands of Alice Springs, and just about everywhere in between.
Karen spent much of the 80s and 90s working in the travel industry before heading to Alice Springs, where she called home for 19 years. While there, she worked for Channel 7 and later in politics. Her journey eventually took her to Albury, where she spent seven years with WIN.
Passionate about regional Victoria, she’s committed to seeing local industries and businesses thrive.
Despite her many career achievements, Karen counts her two children, Sophie and Jack as her greatest. She shares life with Fireman Mark, whom she first kissed at the Yarrawonga RSL and not long after, moved to Alice Springs sight unseen, all in the name of love.
A long-suffering Carlton supporter, Karen still holds hope that her kids will one day experience the same elation she once did (don't hold your breath, Karen).
Before venturing into the world of media and sport, Gabby spent a decade running a successful family hospitality business, mastering the fine art of juggling customers, chaos, and coffee. A brief stint in local government followed, and after four years, she traded council chambers for the bright lights of commercial sport.
For 7.5 years, Gabby was part of the Central Coast Mariners A-League club, working across commercial and community departments (and yes, she was there for the Usain Bolt trial, just in case you were wondering). In 2021, she completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Sports Management with Swinburne University, sharpening her skills in marketing, advertising, and events.
Gabby also had a two-year love affair with commercial radio as a direct sales rep, helping small and medium businesses connect with new audiences—and probably learning how to speak really fast between ad breaks.
Outside of work, Gabby is a football (soccer) tragic who’s still lacing up the boots after 31 years on the field—wiser, though admittedly a little slower. She’s married to Gray, and together they have five kids (hence the wise investment in a TV). Gabby also “adopted” a 1966 Ford Mustang three years ago to keep her husband occupied, proving she’s not afraid of a project—or a bit of extra horsepower.
A walking billboard for bad sports teams and great media choices, this Roosters-bleeding, Spurs-suffering sports tragic will watch anything with a scoreboard. After two years inside NRL HQ, KJ sprinted into the media world and never looked back, racking up eight years across Radio, Print, Digital and, naturally, the superior life choice: Outdoor. Most recently spotted roaming the halls of JCDecaux before being lured to a brighter, bigger billboard-shaped pasture.
When not talking Outdoor, you’ll find KJ in a dark cinema watching something scary enough to question his life choices-or at a gig, reliving his glory days as a recovering teenage Emo (with weekly Spotify relapses to prove it).
In short KJ loves sport, loves movies, loves Outdoor. Basically, the perfect human… or at least a premium large-format version of one.
As a results-driven marketing pro with 12+ years in the game, Kyle has delivered knockout campaigns across B2B and B2C. From promising start-ups to global e-commerce giants, he’s built and executed marketing strategies that seamlessly blend traditional and digital tactics, driving real, measurable impact.
Billboard campaigns? Crushed them. SEO? Nailed it. SEM? Mastered. Brand Activations? He pushes the envelope. Social media, Content Marketing, Web Design, Brand Management, Data & Analytics? You bet, he’s a super nerd. If it drives results, he’s on it. When not busy breaking the internet (in a good way), you’ll find him plotting the next big thing, probably with a coffee in hand. On weekends, you can catch Kyle training for his next 70.3 Ironman. Word on the street is that this is where his next campaign inspo comes from.

A talented all-rounder, she's also passionate about sports, playing both netball and cricket, including competing in the women’s league for Geelong West Cricket Club. In her downtime, Phoebe loves nothing more than unwinding with a sitcom, playing games, or indulging her inner child with creative colouring.
With 18 years of experience in media sales and business management, Anna brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. Born and raised in Melbourne, her love for travel has taken her to favourite destinations like Hawaii, where she got married, New York, and Greece. However, she firmly believes that Australia is the best country in the world, with a deep respect for the regions that keep it thriving. Passionate about supporting SMEs in regional areas, Anna loves how Gawk Outdoor offers affordable and attractive advertising solutions to local businesses.
At home, she lives with her husband, Harry, and their 8-year-old son, John, whom she adores more than life itself. A die-hard Carlton Blues supporter, she also finds time to indulge in her love for history, often tuning to “The Rest is History” podcast. Her competitive nature and strong organisational skills keep her motivated, and she’s proud of her clean, tidy desk – like Gemma, she’s a chronic list maker.
In her downtime, Anna enjoys reading non-fiction and business books, cooking, and going on long walks with music. Recently, she’s been rediscovering new wave music from the ’80s and is getting her son John into it too.
Aimee heads up our town planning applications, playing a crucial role in our billboard developments, writing reports, liaising with councils, and ensuring we put our best foot forward for successful applications in regional Australia. She joined the Gawk team in operations before moving into town planning, where her organisational and written skills are invaluable.
A Bachelor of Sustainability and Fashion graduate, Aimee keeps our offices in check with our recycling and is always best dressed. Not one to sit still, she also holds a position as Sponsorship Manager at her sporting club.
Like 80% of the staff at Gawk, Aimee is an avid Geelong supporter, and she enjoys watching all forms of car racing and playing footy on the weekends (Go Ivanhoe!).
With over four years of experience in advertising coordination, Akansha knows how to keep campaigns running like a well-oiled machine. From briefing artwork to juggling timelines and making sure nothing slips through the cracks, she’s one of the quiet forces making everything happen behind the scenes. Originally from India and now calling Melbourne home, Akansha brings a global perspective, a love for dance, and a background in philosophy that keeps her curious, thoughtful, and always ready to ask the right questions. Off the clock? You’ll find her dancing, travelling, or hunting down Melbourne’s best coffee — usually while casually trying to convince her mates that dashboards are, in fact, a form of self-expression. Smart, strategic, and endlessly driven — Akansha is all about making things happen, and making it look effortless.

Outside of work, Chris is a proud dad to two young legends, Frankie Ally and Harvey Rex, and runs Inner.Glow Café in Ettalong Beach—a café/florist hybrid proving that caffeine and flowers really do fix most things.
